HOMEGROWN end of year fundraiser for The Samaritans

The Masque, Seel Street, Liverpool. Friday, 11 December 2009, £5.00 entry and doors are at 8:00pm. £1 of every entry goes towards the Samaritans.


To top off a great year for HOMEGROWN and in conjunction with the lovely folk at The Masque we're hosting a very special event featuring some of the very best artists from the North-West.

TOM HINGLEY (Inspiral Carpets)
As front man of The Inspiral Carpets, one of the most influential bands to have emerged from the Manchester music scene, Tom Hingley needs no introduction. Tom has gone on to a successful solo career with his band The Lovers.

NICK ELLIS (The Maybes?)
Taking time out from his full-time job fronting one of the best current bands from Liverpool The Maybes? Nick Ellis will be performing a solo set with his band The Love of the Strange. Not to be missed.

THE GRANDE
Formed out of the ashes of former band Priory Falls, The Grande fuse Americana, Indie and Folk Rock. With a strong sense of melody and presence on stage they have built up quite a following during 2009.

LETTERS IN RED
This year has been a progressive one for Letters in Red which has seen the critically successful release of their debut single Feel Me released on Homegrown Records. Mid-way through recording their debut album, the band will be performing stripped down versions of some of the songs to be featuring on their forthcoming LP.

RICHIE VEGAS (DJ set)
Richie Vegas is part of Música del Alma a collective of Liverpool based DJ's who continually showcase talented musicians with their regular self-named nights in venues across the city, spreading the message of 'music from the soul'.

This event will be a great way to get into the festive mood, though this time of year is also a time to reflect on those people less fortunate than ourselves. With this in mind HOMEGROWN is very proud to be able to make a donation of £1.00 from every ticket sold to The Samaritans (X-mas sees the greatest demand for their services).
